The SLAG Clan would not exist without the very kind generosity of it's donors. We salute you soldiers!
The SLAG Clan are a self sufficient, self financing gaming clan with their own ranked game and ventrilo server, plus community web site. Through voluntary donations from it's members, the clan is able to pay for such services on a quarterly basis.
It's important for the SLAG Clan to be self sufficient otherwise it's members would be forced to play on other people's game servers and be subject to their often extensive and sometimes over-the-top, fun-less rules.
We should stress that there is no obligation from anyone to make regular contributions, but every little helps if you can afford to contribute.
All SLAG Clan finances are managed solely by clan member MadScouser.
Benefits of SLAG Clan
By making regular donations to the SLAG clan you will be benefiting in the following ways.
- You are GUARANTEED a slot on the SLAG game server at any time.
- The SLAG game server does not have any rules (aside from no cheating/glitching).
- You can play using any style or tactic without fear of being kicked or banned.
- You are free to play as often or as little as you want, at a time to suit you.
- Fun and friendly Ventrilio voice comms sessions to accompany game playing.
- Access to the SLAG Clan community web site.
- TOTAL GAMING FREEDOM.
How Much Should I Donate:
This is a difficult question to answer. The easiest suggestion is to donate what you can afford.
If you divide the monthly running cost of £61 by the number of active players (check the roster) you will have a rough idea of what's needed. If you need further guidance please contact MadScouser who can advise you on the current fund status.
Many of the SLAG Clan members are in full time employment and perhaps are in a position to donate more than those which are in college/university or unemployed.
If the SLAG Clan receives more donations than it requires in any particular period then these will be banked and put towards the forthcoming quarter.
All donations are used for SLAG Clan fees.
Running Costs of the SLAG Clan:
The cost of running the SLAG Clan services is £61 per month (£732 per year). All prices have been rounded up to the nearest pound. The costs are as follows:
£56 = 32 Slot game server (unbranded) and 32 slot ventrilio server
£05 = Domain name and web site hosting
£61 = TOTAL
How to Send a Payment:
There are three methods in which you can make a donation to the SLAG clan fund. They are:
